A dream came true for the science teacher and coordinator from Uganda. So far he could only tell the students that there is snow. But feeling the snow itself on your skin is another dimension and much more tangible. Likewise one can tell a lot about natural science lessons and didactic methods, but to experience the operation for oneself and to accompany different teachers, to put it into practice, to try it out, to evaluate is a lot more “hands on”.
It was all the better that we were able to sort out a lot of things at school and that Harry was able to add a lot to our luggage. In addition, a whole car full of used and new school materials was packed and shipped by ferry to Kampala, which was to become an adventure in itself.
To learn parallel in the area of 3D printing to be able to use the donated printers more effectively - not bad either. In addition, a further training in the use of reverse osmosis for water treatment - just as good and very useful in the luggage in Africa.
